Return of the Mac...

After about 6 months I have finally had my iMac repaired. Because for the longest time I was under the impression that Apple knew when my warranty was done and the imac video card decided to crap itself. So when I took it in a few months back, after I had already trouble shooted it, the apple "genius" (and i use that term loosely) told me I have to pay $125 for them to just LOOK at it.. even though the "genius" and i had already assessed that my video card was shot with our initial tests.

So 125 to look at it (again) then another 170 if its the card needing to be replaced or 1000 if the logic board is fucked. (And if that was the case.. fuck it.) So in any case I didnt have the money to drop to have it repaired, so I waited, I still have my laptop and my main PC and my G5 at work so I wasnt in dire need of a mac at the moment.

A few days ago I went to find a screen protector for my iphone (because of some small scares of almost scratching it) as I was there I found that they DO NOT carry iphone first gen screens.. since the 3g's are slightly wider. (fuckin apple, CARRY SOME OLD ACCESSORIES! its not like the first gen phones were phased out completely assholes.)

Since I was there.. i decided to ask what the turnaround time would be if I turned in my mac.. and much to my unknowing I found out that the assessment fee actually goes towards the repair!.. sonofa motherless! Why didnt you "geniuses" tell me this shit months ago!..

Needless to say.. I turned my shit it.. and it got repaired in a fairly quick manner. And now I'm re-installing all my programs and i'm gonna have to get another large external drive so I can keep my documents on there and only keep programs for the main drive.. which I split partition and used to dual boot XP via boot camp. LOL..

Back to bilingual at home.
