I do. And we did last night.
I will reserve opinion until Opening Night.
But I will say those anxious to go expecting some theatrical phenomenon, don't watch this film. This is NOT an XMEN, Spiderman, or Superman type of film.
Yes, they are saving the world.. but from what?
Yes, they are costumed, but it does not mean they are superheroes.
No, they do not have superpowers.. aside from Dr Manhattan.
and Yes, they stay pretty true to the graphic almost scene by scene.. but they lost alot of important details which impacted other scenes, so if you've read the graphic, it'll make sense.. but if you didn't it might be a bit confusing and you'll find yourself asking, why did they show that?
Visually, the movie was shot wonderfully.
The story does drag a bit, but so did the graphic.. i admit it took me a lot of sittings and mental prep to get down with the graphic because of how dense the material is, plus its a very political themed story, which is not one of my choice of preferred reading genres.
There were a few of us from the station out there to watch, and just like our in-depth Lost discussions, we will break down this movie and get an overall opinion of it..
Enjoy Comic Nerds!
