Spike Awards

Just finished watching the Scream Awards.. at comic con we attended the panel for Scream Awards hosted by Kevin Smith, it was for the female influences in movies, books and comics.. but they gave away tickets to the show.. but we didnt win. I hear Chris Maze actually made it to the show.. lucky.

Anywho.. If you get a chance to catch it on Spike check it out.. its the perfect geek award show for all you comic con frenzies.

Receiving the Icon of the Year was no other than Mr George Lucas himself.. it was glorious, John williams anthem chanting him to the stage, the laser show and what looked like 50+ Storm Troopers marching to the stage.. it was amazing. Lucas deserves all the respect, except for that dog shit new indy movie..

Watchmen was there and Zack Snyder gave part 2 of teasers for the movie.. part 1 being the teaser we got to see at Con.. and yep.. still looks fucking fantastic... which reminds me i need to finish that book.. i started reading it again right after comic con.. but i've been stuck on reading the twilight series.. (i know.. its a guilty pleasure)

Speaking of Twilight.. Jacob was there and introduced a world premiere clip of the fight scene you see in the trailer.. and I honestly can say.. i cant wait to see it. Was at Borders the other day and saw a poster of Jacob.. and I must say not what I expected him to look like LOL.

DEXTER won best tv series! You see people! Watch this motherfuckin show! LOL Michael C Hall accepted the award along with Julie Benz.. (DAAAAAAMN she hot.) Season 3 is getting really intense.. you need to watch this show. Period.

One of my favorite creative directors Tim Burton got the immortal award.

And Best comic book goes to.... Y The Last Man.. this was a suggestion a couple years back from Chris Maze himself.. and I can't thank him enough for introducing me to this book, its one of the best stories i've read a long time, they just finished the 60th issue and it is done.. so go to your nearest comic book store and buy the graphics. BTW, Kristen Bell and Stan Lee awarded this one.. mmmm.. Kristen... heres a wallpaper for you.

It was a great show.. i think im gonna plan on going next year.. it looked like tons of fun. The crowd was having fun, the special guests are amazing and it was so geek oriented its beautiful. LOL.. yea im going next year.
